About The White Home
The White Home represents a unique resource for the citizens of Rock Hill and York County, telling the story of a family which has served South Carolina for generations. It also tells the story of the birth and development of Rock Hill.
In 2005, after five generations of the White family caring for this treasure, Historic Rock Hill purchased the property and began a five year restoration effort.
The present-day site spans more than 3 acres and includes the main house and several out-buildings. The home houses a collection of historic photographs and documents and serves as a gathering place for tourists and community functions including:
