Projects / 343 E. White St.

Built in the early 1900s, this beautiful two-story structure was a family home for most of its life before becoming a rooming house for the next several decades. After a fire destroyed the interior of the home in the mid-1990s, demolition was imminent.

How We Helped

Historic Rock Hill purchased the home, found a buyer, and financed a partial restoration. After clearing the interior of all plaster, wiring and plumbing, the original buyers decided to abandon the project. Historic Rock Hill regained ownership and found another buyer willing to finish the restoration.

This house was originally built by local contractor A. D. Holler of Rock Hill, who was instrumental in the construction of dozens of Rock Hill’s finest dwellings and commercial buildings.
